Misty grey tones layered with snowy white and streaks of shades of purple create Into the Mystic spinning bundle.
Wool Maiden selects the finest combinations of luxuriously soft combed tops to create a one-of-a-kind spinning batt that is paired with two woolly braids.
The spinning bundle consists of a total of 6 oz (170 grams) of wool :
3 oz (85 grams) : A generous spinning batt of Merino with Yak and Silk, Merino Alpaca, Corriedale, Gotland, and naturally dyed Merino with Mulberry Silk. This has passed through the drum carder twice so it is not fully or evenly blended allowing for subtle nuances as you spin, creating a yarn full of individuality and character.
1.5 oz (42 grams) : A beautiful grey Cheviot braid.
1.5 oz (42 grams) : A snowy white Corriedale braid.
With the total 6 oz (170 grams) of fibre...depending on how you spin, there may be enough fibre to make one pair of regular socks and one pair of shorty socks; or enough to make a hat and shorty socks; or a cowl; or a thick pair of adult socks.
*Combed wool top is processed fine wool in which the fibres are combed in a parallel direction resulting in a finished, smooth top, free of noils or shorter fibres. This helps make your spinning faster and rather effortless, with the ability to produce a finer, thinner yarn.
Fibres ~ Big batt : : Merino with Yak and Silk, Merino Alpaca, Corriedale, Gotland, and naturally dyed Merino with Mulberry Silk. Two braids : Cheviot and Corriedale combed top.
